whoever does the promotional art needs to get it together and stop whitewashing her.
I dont wanna start any discourse about it on my blog, but do you know anything about light, color and stuff? If her skin is paler than her skin in game, i think nintendo wanted to give a pastel-ish effect to the art. For example, look at the halloween splatfest official art. It supposed to be a dark theme, so marina’s skin is darker, and pearl’s one too. But since the others splatfest are more about « happy stuff » they prob wanted to give pastel and cute color to the art. Its only my opinion tho, i dont think its white washing.
