I’m flipping through Awakening: The Art of Halo 4 looking for some references of Infinity’s interior when I came across this quote from Kenneth Scott, Senior Art Director, regarding the Master Chief’s armor design in Halo 4:
“The goal was simple: player connection. We needed to make the player feel like a bio-engineered super soldier wearing 800 lbs of tank and jetfighter. Familiar details from real military vehicles helped immensely with the Master Chief’s physicality. Finding that sweet spot where a new team with fresh vision could take ownership yet remain familiar enough to make a comfortable homecoming was the biggest challenge.”
Comparing this quote from the inception of both 343 Industries and the Reclaimer saga to the recent quotes regarding art style for Halo Infinite just further breaks my heart for 343i as a studio that put some much time and effort and thought into their armor design, only for them to face unrelenting backlash for it; which in my eyes, is wholly unwarranted.
Obviously not enough time into the armor design, given that it was a complete disaster and only alienated fans further. 343i changing literally EVERYTHING about Halo when they took the helm hurt the franchise in a way that was unthinkable in the glory days of Halo (circa Halo 3). The music, the visuals, everything iconic about the Halo franchise was chucked into a wastebasket. Halo Wars 2 started to mend the wounds by somewhat returning to the older style, while also giving a new look to the enemy faction that wasn’t just “bulbous and insectile” like the Covenant Storm.
If you keep adding senseless drivel to my posts, I’m blocking your stupid ass.
One more time, buddy. One more.
Can’t take a little critism I see? I guess other’s opinions are worth squat to you.
When I didn’t ask for them? Absolutely.
When you post on a public microblogging website, one that allows you to reblog a other’s post, then you should expect to see people put their own opinions into the fray, as it where. Stiffling other’s opinions just because they don’t match yours isn’t the way to go about things. It makes you seem rude and frankly rather stuck-up. If you don’t mind me saying.
Constantly adding to my posts although being fully aware I’m going to disagree is also rude and stuck-up. Did your mother never teach you “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all?”
You–shocking, I know!–don’t have to keep adding your opinion to my posts! Make your own and leave me the hell out of it!
Hey, just because your thin-skinned, that’s no reason to point the finger of blame at me. 😉
What…what suggests I’m thin-skinned lol
Get lost, honestly, you’re a joke
“being fully aware I’m going to disagree”, if not thin-skinned then you are at the least quick to trigger. You chose the worng person to get into an argument about Halo, because Halo is one of my major SpIns and I hate what 343i did to it.
(I’m the joke? You’re the one who thinks 343i era “Halo” is good.)
Hey buddy, the kind lady has already suggested to you multiple times to leave her posts alone. Why dont you go ahead and do that.
Also, clearly the only one here who’s thin skinned is you considering your so offended over someone over a SpIn(I know what that’s like too bc Hey it’s my SpIn too and I may not have like the sudden change between 3 and 4 but that’s bc a company suddenly decided to wash their hands of it because some people(cough the fanbase and microsoft) thought they could bully the dev’s into making the game what they wanted
Oh hey doesnt that look like what the fandoms repeating to do with 343, and essentially what your doing to Mrs.Chief?
Just ignore her blog. It takes zero energy(zero spoons even) to block something you don’t like.
It’s literally so easy I wouldn’t be suprised if you blocked me immediately after I reblogged this to disagree with you without even giving the thing the time of day because your too twisted up in your thin skin to believe your in the wrong for constantly adding to someone’s posts after they’ve told you to stop.
