My friend in the UK told me that they only see their father like 2-3 times a year because they live so far away. When I asked how far do they live, they said that it’s a 45 minute drive……. my commute to work, five days a week is an hour.
45 minutes?? far??? my mind is blown
I was at an Anime Convention one time and our friend forgot something she needed to finish her costume at home (yes we were still finishing costumes in the hotel), which was 3 hours away from the convention. 10 at night me and one of my dumbass friends are driving 3 hours to her house to get her stuff and 3 hours back to the hotel. This costume was not for some big photo shoot or anything special. We drove 6 hours so she could finish a costume that she casually wore for one day. 12 years later and that is still one of my favorite stories from our cosplay days.
