Which transformers canon? Asking for a friend (me)
@oatmealcoloured It’s the IDW comics canon!! There’s two big series, they both have lgbt characters but the one with the largest amount (and honestly the best starting point) is “More Than Meets The Eye” written by James Roberts. It has a bunch of canonically lgbt characters and relationships, honestly more than any other media i’ve ever come across. Which sounds ridiculous but it’s true!!
This is essentially because Transformers are alien robots from a planet where like 99% of them are men, so being gay is just the norm for them (homophobia also doesn’t exist!) and the vast majority of canon romances are gay ones. There are more women who get introduced to the IDW comics later into the series, but most of them are lesbians as well gdsjfhbsdj

And there are trans characters too!! These two are both canonically trans women, and also married to each other:
As well as all of the LGBT representation, it has a huge amount of mentally ill characters! The series also has a really interesting storyline, it’s like exciting and heartbreakingly sad and super funny all at once, and is honestly just a really cool sci-fi. It’s easily my favourite comic and I genuinely couldn’t recommend it more!!
