The worst part is the film is even denying that he was trans and reimagining him as a female crosdresser Jesus how can you be so tonedeaf

… no one is MAKING these people make this movie. And this appears to be a bunch of cis people taking a trans person’s story and trying to profit off of it. Why did they HAVE to make this movie, other than they decided that trans people are good Oscar bait?
And come the fuck on, is Scarlett Johansson the ONLY person in this movie? They could have cast an unknown trans guy in the lead and filled it with an all-star cast of supporting roles. Regardless, it’s not like the director’s hands were tied.
